Hello,
I am particularly impressed by the paint “Separation”. It’s amazing and wonderfull. When I saw that, I believed that Iris has got a gift and she is really an artist ! I am a french woman and live in Toulouse.
When I look at the paint, I see two persons, a man and a woman who are catching each other their hands and are looking in their eyes. The head of the man is on the left and is big (half of the heigt of the paint) whereas the woman’s head is smaller, on the right.
But what is beautiful, is the way the persons are painted : I see very clearly their eyes, the man’s nose, his mouth, their hair … The woman has her long hair tied in a ponytail. I also see her eye, her long neck …
If it is really her who has painted this picture and not a joke, so it is heavenly.
Thank you so much for your kind comments about Separation, it hasn’t been everyone’s favourite as its got so much going on and yes, we saw people in it to. She did it by using loads of paint, very wet, then dragged the end of the brush making patterns. It was all very calm and delicate, she wasnt mixing them or making a mess, it was controlled. At the time I thought it was pretty and looked like marbling then when I photographed I started to see things within it too. What’s quite ironic is she finds looking at faces hard and so many turn up in the paintings, she collects cards with faces on too and lines three of them up in her play area, I never move them at it seems so important to her.
Is there a mailing list for info on the online bidding details for the Nov. auction?
Extraordinarily beautiful. My mother was a painter, and a pretty good one. It took her several years of study and painting to get to this “Monet” stage. I’m completely at a loss for words.
oh ~ my god!!!!!
she is genious~!!!! so great~!!!
you are god bless ~~~ peace be with you~^^/~
bye~!
Wow! These are all so beautiful. I am going to add “buy an Iris original” [or print] to my list of things that I want 🙂 I have looked at them numerous times and it will be hard to pick just one. These would be beautiful done as prints on cards as well so they could be easily shared with others. Breath taking and inspirational!
