what the…… her autism, as people call it, is just her way of being, i mean its nice that the money is for her therapy in a way that its always nice if people are helpt with their problems.. i can imagine it would be nice to communicate with people in words.. but she does it in another beauuutiful way with her paintings. I think this world is so focussed on normalizing people to the standards. Where this is about, Iris and her family, are happy that iris found a way to express herself en so far i can see, she is doing that in a great way.. but what if she was in therapy, didnt had the abilty to paint, but only had to take medications, maybe feeling good about it,but never having the ability anymore to fulle be herself and express her that way en inspire other people by being unique. what is wrong in putting some effort in communicate with people who doesn’t communicate the same as you? i think we can learn a lot from people who are different then ourselfs! so please be careful with, and stop normalizing people to the ‘norm’ which is constituted by an idea in the western society which is made by the media, fear, and controlling ideas from the government and the farma-industry. Look it up for yourself if you want to now more about this..

p.s. i do not think therapy is bad or anything, i think it can be really great.. its just about the way and intention of the therapy

hello, I am so inspired by iris’ beautiful art. I have worked closely with children with autism for 13 years both in school and through leading a playscheme for children with disabilities. I was wondering if there was somewhere we could buy the paintings?
