The word Giclée (“g-clay”), is derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt or spray”.  Giclée, is used to describe a fine art digital printing process combining pigment based inks with high quality archival quality paper (Hahnemühle German Etching,  310 gsm) to achieve Giclée prints of superior archival quality, light fastness and stability.

who is the author of the painting titles? They are beautiful, but it sounds rather like a business than a good cause… congratulation on the girl

      Hi Juan,
It’s Iris’s Mother here, for the moment we are naming the paintings as Iris doesn’t speak, we try and make them relevant to what they look like or how she felt while painting them. All of the profits are going towards Iris’s expensive private therapy, £7000.00 a year, none of her therapies that work for her are provided on the NHS and we are also saving some for her future so I assure you it is a good cause. Have a read through the site and her facebook page and you will understand what we are doing, raising funds to help our daughter and raising much needed awareness for Autism.

What you’re doing it’s great and I wish you can find the best way for Iris to get her ready for life as she grows up. Keep doing what you’re best at, that means being a caring mother and as a mother keep looking for the best for your daughter. You are now at ease some how that your daughter has been blessed by God with such natural, unselfish, explosive way and share through colors love. The way you’ve been surprised as a mother with how gifted Iris is, you may be even more surprised by how she will put up all the efforts to add more meanings to her art. It’s true, innocence it’s in every spot of color she drops on her paintings and as the time goes by she may lose this innocence, but she will grow in understanding and from within I hope she will grow new ways of expression and thus new ways creation will blossom.
