The Artist

She is best known for her early work at aged four but has continued to paint while growing up in Leicestershire near Market Harborough.  Her talent to express herself through painting astonished the world as at that time she was not speaking.  Iris’s mother Arabella Carter-Johnson shares her art to inspire and raise awareness of her condition.

Iris met Thula, a Maine coon cat in 2014 and life at home started to change.  They had an immediate affinity.  At this point Iris started to open up and communicate with Thula in a way that she hadn’t done before and this started her amazing journey with many animals . 

The Book

Arabella documented their journey through diary entries and photographs and now tells Iris’s story in her first book.  It is illustrated in full colour with photographs and of course Iris’s beautiful paintings.  ‘Iris Grace’ has been published in Hardcover by Penguin and has been translated into 11 languages.

    These are simply beautiful. They remind me of the watercolor work by the artist Claude Monet. Some which hang in museums world wide. This young lady exhibits his similar ability to see and use color in such an extraordinary way. I feel peaceful just viewing these few images. I’m sure she will become one of her generations most exceptional artists. Her future is so bright and I feel honored to be able to witness such talent. I wish her the best for a wonderful and amazing life. I wish I had the extra money to purchase even a small piece of her breathtaking work.

    i think her paintings are amazing even though shes a 3 year old girl shes got talent i dont know about you but i think this girl could be another picasso or other famous painter god has brought another miracle into the world

    Iris’s art is BREATHTAKING…..the color combos are the colors of mother earth…I’m glad I can see the world through her art….one special girl…..I think she is a 200 hundred year old soul, what a master of her delicate brush…luv:)

    More like Monet I think. What is astounding is not just the colour choices and the clarity, but also the balance and movement. Stunning. What a gift she has been given.
